A journey into the archives of Associate Motorways Private Limited, takes us back to an era, where industrial entrepreneurism was unheard of in Sri Lanka. Sir Cyril de Zoysa in the year 1949 established a venture that would revolutionize the rubber industry of the country. It would no longer see only exportation of raw rubber but would now be proud of its own rubber products.
AMW soon represented a number of well established brands and began to expand into other sectors such as Automotive, vehicle accessories, lubricants and leasing services.
In 2008 Associated Motorways Private Limited came under the management expertise of Al-Futtaim group, a Dubai based company which launched it into multinational status.
